İrem is an Attorney-at-law specialized in IP and IT law litigation, particularly in trademark, copyright, domain name and licensing disputes, unfair competition, patent, utility models, and anti-counterfeiting. She offers our clients a full range of services in a multidisciplinary approach.
İrem has extensive experience in IP enforcement proceedings before Civil and Criminal Courts. Her breadth of knowledge and analytical approach enables her to best utilize both Turkish and international precedents to get the results that clients are seeking. This experience and knowledge also allows her to provide advice to clients that includes predictive risk assessment before starting any litigation processes.
İrem also guides her clients on settlement negotiations and preparation of settlement agreements where litigation is not the most promising route.
Education and Experience: İrem began her experience in litigation as a student of law in 2010 and graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2012. She completed her one year official internship in a reputable law firm in Istanbul and has been practicing in the area of IP & IT enforcement and litigation since 2013. İrem has completed the course work for the LL.M. program at Istanbul Bilgi University Information and Technology Law Institute and is currently putting the finishing touches on her thesis which is related specifically to trademark and domain name disputes.
About İrem: İrem loves the challenge of learning something new every day. She is not only interested in the law surrounding technology but the actual technology itself and often sorts out issues for our team members even before our IT services! She loves watching the anime series of Naruto, walking along the Bosphorus especially in the spring, photographing nature and cats, and relaxing with music. She has a cat called Marla named from the character Marla Singer of the movie Fight Club!
